Getting Ready for Christmas

November 9, 2010

It has been decided.

My best friend found this magical craft on MarthaStewart.com and we decided it would make the perfect gift for … well everyone.

We’re both living on small budgets, but we want to give the people we love something special. Here’s the thing, typically neither of us are good at following directions or at being exceptionally crafty.

So this is the pre-post. Craft to follow and, most likely, an alternate way to make the adorable pine cone elves!

Aww, those guys are so sweet! They don’t look *too* difficult to pull off…but I have to admit as soon as I read that you were going to end up with an alternate version of the craft the first thing I thought of was a gnarly looking pine cone with two huge googly eyes randomly hot glued on, some glitter and dried up hot glue dotting the inner sections of the cone, and then some silver tinsel to cover it all up. It looks something like a Christmas Cousin It from Adams Family in my head. I know I need to seek some form of medication, I’m working on it 😛

Best of luck on your elf crafting!
