The Mighty, Mighty Six-Layer Cake

Here is the  six-layer birthday cake I made for my sister, Autumn.

They said it couldn’t be done. Well, they were wrong. (Although the price you pay for such a mighty cake is big. We had to carry the cake in a cardboard box because it wouldn’t fit in a normal cake container.)

I made six small cakes, layered with chocolate icing and let it firm up over night.

In the morning, I added the frosting to the outside and, very carefully, sprinkled the rim of the top. For the bottom sprinkles, I used wax paper to press the sprinkles on.

It was a challenge to transport and a lot to it – but boy was it yummy!
